The largest of the three hot springs rises in the King’s Bath. The mediaeval structure was built over the Roman sacred spring. The King’s Bath was built in the 12 century. The bath provided niches for bathers to sit in, emerged up to their necks in water. The bath is overlooked by a statue of King Bladed, the mythical discoverer of the hot waters and founder of the City of Bath.
